Website: http://www.interreg-danube.eu/women-in-business

WOMEN IN BUSINESS aims to encourage young women with innovative ideas to launch and successfully develop their own business.
The project comes in response to certain specific needs of young entrepreneurs in the Danube region. The main activities are focused on:
•  Analysis of the current situation - identifying the needs and barriers encountered by young women who want to create and develop their own business. Carrying out a study summarizing the research conducted in the 9 partner countries (qualitative interviews with stakeholders and a survey among 300 women entrepreneurs);
•  Improving the support policies and programs for female entrepreneurs at the regional level by developing a Policy Agenda, so that policy proposals intersect with the needs of young women willing to start a business;
•  Development of innovative training programs  to improve the culture, skills and competencies of young entrepreneurs;
•  Establishing 4 Pilot Consulting Centers for women entrepreneurs.
The project is implemented by a consortium of 14 partners from 9 countries in the Danube region and brings together national and regional organizations, public and private organizations and universities.
